New Opportunities Waiver

The New Opportunities Waiver (NOW), introduced in April 2003 as a replacement for the Mentally Retarded and Developmentally Disabled (MRDD) Waiver, is designed to enhance family and community support using the principles of self-determination. Its mission is to promote dignity, quality of life, and security in the daily lives of individuals while helping them remain integrated within their communities.
